February - Snow and Pancakes

February...

We're almost at the end of February and the month seems to have flown by... March is almost here and the weather is finally warming up

Snow and Pancakes...

What an amazing month it has been, though... with the snow causing major disruption at the beginning of the month. With so many schools closed even I managed to take a "snow day" - seemingly with a massive proportion of the population.

What a great day it was... with sledging, snowball fights (even managing to involve the local posties ) and snowmen. Luckily, Geoff and Matt were on hand to tend to the office (thanks, guys )

And Tuesday was, of course, pancake day - I've been hearing about some rather strange pancake combos, including pancake bolognaise and chilli con carne pancakes. Hopefully without lemon and sugar...

The Economy

Things seem to be a little quieter this February on the recruitment front - although there is still enough work to keep us all busy. There are organisations who are still flourishing, and we are continuing to look out for top calibre candidates.

The emphasis still remains very much on permanent recruitment, as well as on fixed-term contract resource.

Any candidates out there who need help or advice with your CV, please do get in touch... We are always delighted to help you with finding the right words, format etc, and now is an excellent chance to utilise our services.

Fun Stuff

It was great to catch up with some of you at Lawrence Dallaglio's benefit dinner - what a star!  Thanks to Loryn for the pics that you sent in - they will be on Facebook, so keep an eye out! Also thank you to Matt for your contribution...

We're also still very much involved in our sport... Both KP and I are doing a fair amount of climbing and I've just re-trained as an instructor at the climbing centres.

KP is also continuing with his Triathlon training, and says that even his swimming is now respectable. I think that he'll be doing the London triathlon - which involves swimming in the Thames (very, very brave man )

Geoff is still heavily involved in his rugby, and Matt is spending loads of time in the gym.

And as for me, as well as the climbing, I'm still kickboxing. And really looking forward to a quick kite-surfing break next week. Let's hope that there's some wind!

I'll write my next Blog Entry when I come back from kite-surfing... in the meantime, please do keep in touch!. Keep the pics and updates coming, it's always great to hear from everyone!
